Delilah is the voice for Ohio’s children.
A guardian ad litem (“GAL”) is an attorney advocate who is assigned to for a child’s “best interest” during the pendency of a contested divorce or custody matter. A GAL investigates all aspects of a child’s life including their home environment, family and friend relationships, academic and extracurricular activities, and their physical and mental health. GALs are required to meet and establish a relationship with the child, interview the parties and relevant individuals, visit the child at each home, and, when warranted, request that the Court order psychological evaluations, mental health or substance abuse assessments. After completing these and other investigative tasks, the GAL presents a custody and parenting time recommendation for the Court’s consideration.
As one of the only Spanish-speaking GAL’s in Central Ohio, Delilah has worked with hundreds of children in the local Latino community. Delilah is also a major player in the proposed passage of Ohio House Bill 226. A bill which would criminalize the intimidation of Guardian ad litems.

A guided approach towards resolution.
As a certified mediator, Delilah empowers parties to engage in productive dialogue with the intention of resolving conflict amicably and peacefully. This party-controlled process eliminates the high cost of a traditional divorce while facilitating meaningful and productive discussions on the issues of custody, parenting time schedules, child support, and division of property and debt.
Once an agreement is reached, it is then submitted and adopted by the Court. If used early on, mediation can save the parties from ever having to step foot inside the courtroom.

Parenting coordination (“PC”) is a child-focused dispute resolution method utilized past the conclusion of high-conflict litigation to aid parents with the implementation of current parenting orders. Ultimately, Delilah helps parents resolve any disputes or gray areas found within those orders. If an agreement cannot be reached, Delilah will then act as a “tie-breaker” and issue a decision which becomes a binding court order. As your PC, Delilah will tackle your dispute so you can go back to parenting.
Tackling your dispute, head on, so you can go back to parenting.

“Delilah went above and beyond for my family and I. She took the time to educate me about the process (first time using any legal services so I had A LOT of questions) and never hesitated to hop on a phone call when needed. I had a wonderful experience with Delilah and her staff and felt supported every step of the way!”
